WHO ARE WE?

· Our Purpose is to make a positive difference to people’s lives
· Our Vision is to change lives through better sight and eye health
We provide services for NHS CCGs, NHS Trusts and Foundation Trusts, and other providers of NHS funded services. We deliver thousands of patient interactions annually, including outpatient appointments, diagnostic testing and eye surgery. Our services are delivered through a variety of models including Managed Services and Ophthalmology Joint Venture (OJV) Partnerships.
ROLE SUMMARY
Our Clinic Receptionists are the face of Newmedica – they’re often amongst the first people that our patients interact with on clinic visits, therefore, having a welcoming, friendly, empathetic approach is vital.
Our Clinic Receptionists check in a high volume of patients each day, update their information, instill eye drops and assist with booking future appointments and the answering of any queries using a variety of different systems. The thought of eye surgery can be a daunting prospect for patients to deal with, so our Clinic Receptionists need to be able to put patients at ease. They also need strong communication skills, to be able to explain the purpose of the different tests and help the patients understand their treatment.
Newmedica is committed to the growth and development of all our colleagues. The Clinic Receptionist role is a great opportunity to have exposure to both the clinical and administrative aspects of healthcare.
