A highly regarded and successful organisation with operations across the UK and Europe is seeking a professional and well-presented Receptionist to join its head office team. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role as the first point of contact for clients, visitors, and colleagues, representing the company with courtesy, efficiency, and professionalism.
Reporting directly to the Office Manager, you will be responsible for delivering a consistently high standard of front-of-house service and supporting day-to-day office operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and welcome guests and visitors in a professional and courteous manner
Direct individuals to the appropriate department or colleague
Answer, screen, and forward incoming telephone calls efficiently
Maintain a tidy, organised, and presentable reception area, ensuring availability of stationery and relevant materials
Provide accurate information in person, by telephone, or via email
Sort, distribute, and manage incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries
Monitor and control access through the reception desk, including maintaining a visitor log and issuing badges
Manage inventory and ordering of front office supplies
Coordinate meeting room schedules and maintain appointment calendars
Assist in tracking office expenses and general administrative support
Undertake additional duties as required to support the wider office team
Candidate Requirements:
Previous experience in a Receptionist, Front Office, or Customer Service role
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Familiarity with office equipment such as printers and fax machines
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Highly organised, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively
Professional, proactive, and able to remain calm under pressure
A positive and adaptable approach to problem-solving
