Job Description - Receptionist

Old Mill is a leading financial and professional services firm seeking a friendly and professional Receptionist to join our team in our Yeovil office. As the first point of contact for our clients, you will play an important role in creating a positive and welcoming experience.

As our Receptionist, you will be joining a friendly and supportive reception team, working together to keep the office running smoothly and deliver a great experience for our clients and colleagues.

This is an office based role working Monday to Friday.

What you’ll be doing

  • Greet and welcome clients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
  • Answer and direct phone calls to the appropriate team members
  • Manage incoming and outgoing post, including distributing items to the relevant teams
  • Coordinate meeting room bookings
  • Organise lunches and refreshments for internal meetings and events
  • Maintain petty cash and keep accurate records
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the reception area and meeting rooms
  • Schedule appointments and meetings for colleagues
  • Support with administrative tasks such as data entry, printing and filing
  • Provide a consistently high standard of client service

About You

We are looking for an experienced Receptionist who takes pride in delivering a professional and welcoming front of house experience.

You will have

  • Previous experience in a receptionist or front of house role
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office
  • The ability to multitask and prioritise in a busy environment
  • A positive, can do attitude and willingness to support the wider team
