Receptionist

Pay: £13.69 per hour

Hours: 37 hours per week

Hatched Recruitment Group are currently recruiting for a Receptionist to support Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council's Leisure & Community Wellbeing team on a temporary basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced receptionist or customer service professional to work at the Irish Linen Centre & Lisburn Museum, providing a high-quality front-line service to visitors, customers and members of the public.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide a professional reception service, welcoming visitors and responding to enquiries
Deal with customers face-to-face, by telephone and email
Operate booking and cash systems, process payments and issue receipts
Assist with museum shop sales, stock control and merchandising
Maintain records, databases and administrative systems
Provide general clerical and administrative support
Promote council services, events and activities
Process incoming and outgoing mail
Ensure excellent customer service standards are maintained at all times

Working Hours:

This role is 37 hours per week and operates on a two-week rolling rota:

Week 1: Tuesday to Saturday

Week 2: Monday to Friday

The working pattern may vary depending on operational requirements.

Requirements:

Previous experience in a receptionist, administration or customer service role
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Confident dealing with members of the public
Good IT skills, including experience using computer systems and databases
Ability to handle payments and maintain accurate records
Organised, reliable and able to work independently

Essential criteria:

Minimum of 5 GCSEs (Grade A-C) including equivalent qualifications or relevant experience
Minimum 1 year's experience in a customer service or receptionist environment
