MorePeople are working with a well established FMCG business based in Alconbury to recruit a Receptionist to join their team. This is a varied, people focused role where you'll be the first point of contact for visitors, contractors and employees, while also providing essential administrative and facilities support across the site. We're looking for someone who is naturally organised, approachable and professional, with excellent attention to detail and a genuine pride in delivering a high level of service.
Responsibilities
Acting as the first point of contact for visitors, contractors and employees. Managing incoming calls, taking messages and directing enquiries appropriately. Handling incoming and outgoing post, including franking and distribution. Coordinating courier collections and deliveries. Managing meeting room bookings and ensuring rooms are clean, tidy and ready for use. Preparing refreshments and lunches for visitors where required. Maintaining reception, kitchens, meeting rooms and shared areas to a high standard. Monitoring and replenishing office, kitchen, stationery and general supplies. Welcoming contractors and ensuring Health & Safety procedures are followed. Managing visitor badges, temporary passes, PPE and visitor parking. Supporting fire drills and emergency procedures, including maintaining visitor sign in records. Assisting with printing, binding and preparation of documents and presentations. Supporting purchasing and general office requirements, including processing expenses through Concur. Providing general administrative and facilities support. Supporting recruitment drop ins and directing candidates to the appropriate team members. Ensuring reception cover and effective handovers are in place during periods of absence.
What We're Looking For
You'll ideally have previous experience within a reception, front of house, customer service or administrative environment, alongside:
Excellent organisational and time management skills. A professional, friendly and approachable manner. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent attention to detail. The ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment. Confidence dealing with telephone systems, couriers and post. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. A proactive, reliable and flexible approach.Experience within an FMCG, manufacturing or similar fast paced environment would be advantageous, as would experience with facilities, meeting room management, Concur or Health & Safety procedures.
