Receptionist

Our client is a long-established business in the heart of York, and they're looking for a friendly, organised receptionist to be the first face visitors see. You'll create a welcoming first impression and keep the front of house running smoothly, with plenty of support and room to grow.

Receptionist duties will include:
* Greeting visitors and clients in person, signing them in and letting the right people know they've arrived
* Answering and directing telephone calls and taking clear messages
* Managing the shared inbox and general enquiries
* Booking meeting rooms and arranging appointments
* Handling incoming and outgoing post and courier deliveries
* Keeping the reception area and meeting rooms tidy and well stocked
* Ordering stationery and office supplies
* Providing general administrative support to the team, such as filing, data entry and photocopying
About you
Essential experience for the receptionist:
* Previous experience in a reception, customer service or administrative role
* A friendly, professional manner and a confident telephone voice
* Excellent written and spoken English
* Good IT skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
* Well organised, able to juggle competing priorities and stay calm under pressure
* Reliable and punctual, with a positive, can-do attitude
