Medical Receptionist - SW15

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Medical Receptionist to join a healthcare service based in SW15, specialising in mental health and rehabilitation services.

This is a great opportunity for someone with previous healthcare experience who is confident dealing with patients and working in a sensitive healthcare environment.

Role Details

Location: SW15

Hours: Approximately 32 hours per week

Pay: £14.50 per hour

Contract: Temporary to Permanent

Start Date: ASAP

Additional information: Must be able to pass a DBS check

Key Responsibilities

Welcoming patients and visitors in a friendly, professional and approachable manner.

Managing incoming calls, responding to enquiries and directing calls appropriately.

Booking and managing appointments.

Maintaining accurate patient records and updating systems.

Supporting the wider team with general administrative duties.

Handling sensitive and confidential information appropriately.

Providing a calm, professional and understanding service to patients accessing mental health and rehabilitation support.

Requirements

Previous healthcare experience is essential.

Previous medical reception or healthcare administration experience is desirable.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

A compassionate, patient and understanding approach when dealing with individuals accessing mental health and rehabilitation services.

The ability to remain calm and professional in sensitive or challenging situations.

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

An understanding of the importance of confidentiality within a healthcare setting.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will be friendly, approachable and professional, with previous healthcare experience and the confidence to support patients in a sensitive environment. They must be empathetic, organised and comfortable working with individuals accessing mental health and rehabilitation services.
