Babington House...

Situated in a Grade II-listed manor built in 1705, Babington House is surrounded by 18 acres of English countryside in the heart of Somerset. Just 30 minutes from Bath, it’s the ultimate countryside escape for rest, relaxation and seasonal dining. With 33 bedrooms spread across Babington’s historic buildings, Cabins and Lodges, the club features a formal dining space in the Orangery, serving a unique menu centred around seasonal and local produce. The Role… 

We are seeking an experienced Receptionist to join our team at Babington House (BA11 3RW). You will wear many hats; reception desk and handle basic admin duties, host in the restaurant and rooftop where needed as well as performing guestlist responsibilities. You will be responsible for being knowledgeable on all aspects of the property, neighbourhood and fostering the ‘home away from home’ feeling when members enter the building.

What we are looking for in a Receptionist...

• 1-2 years’ experience in a busy commercial reception desk


• Team player who communicates well with all colleagues


• Punctual, reliable and trustworthy


• Sense of urgency


• Yes, yes, yes mentality


• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment


• Have a genuine passion for food and beverage


• Flexible and available to working both opening and closing shifts when required

Expected working hours for a Receptionist:

• Varying shift times across the seven days, to include working evenings, weekends, opens & closes 


• Average hours 32-45 hours per week 

Travel: Approx. 30 minutes from Bath, 50 minutes from Bristol & 10 mins from Frome (No local transport from Frome)
