Reconciliaitons Clerk / Cashier

JHE & Partners are working with a global business in Bradford who are looking for a reconciliations clerk / cashier on a permanent basis. The business has grown astronomically over the last 10 years and is now the leading player in their field.

This is an extremely fast-paced role working within a large finance function. This is a position that would suit someone working in a large business overseeing the reconciliations or someone working in a cashiering capacity, reconciling accounts and allocating cash.

Duties include:

• Processing cheques through a cheque scanning software program
• Allocate BACS, card payments and cheques to customer accounts, searching for remittances if required
• Check any unallocated BACS are on the correct account and journal across as required and inform Banking team to re-map account details
• Liaise with Banking team and bank to investigate cheque deposit discrepancies
• Dealing with payment/allocation queries
• Investigating and correcting any differences that may have been identified by the bank
• Reconciling the cheque scanning data to the data uploaded into system
• Managing master data within scanning software and updating as appropriate
• Liaising with internal & external customers

This is an excellent opportunity working in a stand-alone role working with other internal teams. Salary on offer is £26,000 + discretionary bonus, working 37.5 hours with some flexibility with start and finish times. Holidays start at 22 days holiday + 8 stats + perks.
