We have an exciting opportunity for two  Recovery Motivators to join our team who have the skills and experience to assess and engage with our service users, ensuring that they acess the right intervention at the right time, in a way that best meets their needs.  

 

 

Location: Camden

Hours: full time, 37.5 per week

Please note - Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.









Responsibilities






About the role: 

 

  • Provide a welcoming and consistent environment in open access area 
  • Create links with local communities and work to target people affected by drugs and alcohol who are not in touch with mainstream services – those isolated in communities, unaware of services, or who do not feel services are for them 
  • Attend team meetings/group supervision with the aim of sharing good practice and finding solutions 
  • Meet individuals within the community to discuss their personal goals regarding their recovery and to support families affected by drugs and alcohol to discuss their personal goals and support needs 
  • Utilise existing local resources and build local community awareness, signposting to relevant agencies 
  • Assist the Volunteer and peer Mentor Coordinator in setting up and identifying specialist advice /support and recovery opportunities. 

 

About you: 

 

  • Lived experience of drug or/and alcohol misuse 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with good IT skills 
  • Be able to build relationships with individuals with multiple needs, whilst remaining empathetic and non-judgemental towards Service Users 
  • Confident in working alone as well as part of a team 
  • Can remain calm under pressure 
  • Able to travel as required, including where public transport is not available 

 

What we will give to you: 

 

  • 25 days of annual leave, plus bank holidays. Additionally, you'll receive one extra day of annual leave for each year of service during your first five years, therefore you will enjoy 30 days of leave after five years with us.
