Role: Recruitment Operations Assistant Location: Nottingham City Centre
Working Arrangement: Office-based, Monday - Friday
Salary: Up to £26k + £2.5k to £5k bonus
Your first step in recruitment.
This is an entry-level role. You don’t need recruitment experience or years of office work behind you. Maybe you’ve just finished college or Uni, or you’ve been working part-time and you’re ready for a proper career. What matters is who you are and how much you want it.
You’ll work alongside our Recruitment Director and the wider team in a brand-new role, learning how a high-performing recruitment business runs from the inside.
What you’ll be doing
* Running the Recruitment Director’s diary, booking meetings and keeping the calendar on track
* Speaking with candidates, clients and the team every day by phone, video call and email
* Pulling together reports and keeping spreadsheets and data accurate and up to date
* Keeping several plates spinning when the day gets busy, which it will
* Spotting what needs doing and sorting it before anyone has to ask
You’ll often be the first voice or message someone gets from us, so how you come across really matters.
Where it leads This isn’t admin with a ceiling. As your confidence grows, you’ll take on more responsibilities, with opportunity to progress into a more senior roles within frontline recruitment or the option to continue your progress in recruitment operations. How quickly you get there is largely down to you.
Who you are
* Timely. Deadlines matter to you, and you notice the details others miss.
* Proactive. You see what needs doing and you crack on with it.
* A natural multitasker. You stay calm when priorities shift halfway through the morning.
* A strong communicator. You’re confident on the phone and on video calls, and you can write a clear, professional email that gets a response. You can be persuasive without being pushy.
* Genuinely you. AI has its place, but you don’t lean on it to do your talking. People should hear you, not a chatbot.
* Driven, with real verve. Hard work comes naturally to you, whether you’ve shown it in your studies, a part-time job, sport or something you’ve built yourself.
* Professional and ethical. You keep confidential information confidential and you do the right thing when nobody’s watching.
* Practical. You’re comfortable with Microsoft Office, especially Outlook and Excel, or quick to pick it up. You’re based in or near Nottingham and happy in the office five days a week.
What you can expect
* £25k to £26k basic, plus £2k to £5k in bonuses
* Close mentoring from the Recruitment Director
* A front-row seat in how recruitment really works
* Progression based on ability, attitude and ambition, nothing else
