Recycling Officer

Location: Clacton-on-Sea

Salary: £30.00 per hour

Contract: 6-month temporary, full time

Hours: Monday to Friday, 5 days on site

About the Role

We are looking for two Recycling Officers to support the introduction of simpler recycling services across Tendring. This is a varied role involving contractor monitoring, resident engagement, recycling education and operational support.

What You’ll Do

• Monitor kerbside waste and recycling collections


• Engage with residents and contractors to promote recycling


• Support the introduction of food waste collections


• Audit communal recycling facilities and arrange additional provisions


• Deliver recycling containers to households


• Handle telephone and email enquiries


• Complete related administration and operational tasks


• Attend contractor meetings and support compliance requirements

What We’re Looking For

• Previous waste management or recycling experience is essential


• Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle


• Excellent communication and customer service skills


• Confident working with residents, contractors and colleagues


• Good organisational and administrative skills

Who Might Suit This Role
