Refrigeration Engineer

I am currently recruiting for a Refrigeration Engineer to join my client covering Hampshire and the surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing organisation offering a varied field-based role and long-term career development.

The successful Refrigeration Engineer will carry out installation, servicing, maintenance and repair of commercial refrigeration and air conditioning systems across a range of customer sites.

You will be confident fault finding across both electrical and mechanical systems and comfortable working independently in a customer-facing environment.

Refrigeration Engineer Responsibilities:

* Carry out planned and reactive maintenance, servicing, repairs and installations.

* Fault find and diagnose electrical and mechanical faults.

* Work on a range of equipment including chillers, cold rooms, CO2 refrigeration and air handling units.

* Repair and replace components including compressors, pumps, motors, fans, valves and controls.

* Ensure work is completed safely and in line with relevant regulations.

* Complete service reports and associated documentation.

* Provide a professional service when attending customer sites.

Refrigeration Engineer Requirements:

* Previous refrigeration and/or air conditioning engineering experience.

* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent relevant engineering qualification., ideally electrical.

* F-Gas Category 1 certification is essential.

* Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.

* Full UK driving licence.

* Able to work independently and manage workload effectively.

* Flexible approach to working hours and occasional working away from home.

* Willing to participate in a 1 in 3 on-call rota.
