Job Description - Refuse Loader

3 months contract with local authority

We are in search of a dedicated and dependable Loader to become a part of our team. The Loader will have a vital role in ensuring the smooth loading and unloading of materials and products, thereby contributing to the efficient functioning of our logistics and distribution processes. This role demands physical endurance, meticulousness, and a strong adherence to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

Loading and unloading materials and products from vehicles while adhering to safe handling practices.

Verifying the accuracy of loads and ensuring secure fastening before transportation.

Collaborating with team members to streamline loading processes and enhance efficiency.

Keeping the work area clean and organised, and ensuring all equipment is in good working order.

Promptly reporting any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the supervisor.

Skills

Essential mechanical knowledge for effective operation of loading equipment.

Capability to safely and efficiently perform heavy lifting tasks.

Strong attention to detail to guarantee precision in loading procedures.

Excellent communication skills for seamless teamwork and coordination.

Proactive problem-solving approach and commitment to upholding safety standards in the workplace.

Requirements

Prior experience in a similar role is preferred.
