Job Description - Regional Commercial Director

An experienced Regional Commercial Director with relevant experience is needed to join the team at this leading Managed Services Provider supporting IT infrastructures for multiple clients across the region and nationally based in East Grinstead on a full-time basis.
The company is looking for a hard-working and motivated regional commercial director to work from their office, focusing on (a) customer account management for organisations of between 50 and 300 people, operating within a 25-mile/1 hour radius and (b) providing commercial support to a local sales executive tasked with building business in the same region.
They expect you to be able to manage a small team of technical, sales and procurement personnel to standards set by the organisation whilst developing excellent relationships with your customers.

About the Company
The company is building a national network of IT-managed services companies that will offer businesses and not-for-profit organisations within a 25-mile/1-hour radius of each of their locations access to local IT-managed services.
Primarily, they operate as a "buy and build" business, making targeted acquisitions of established IT companies that have reached their limit under current ownership but have scope to expand. As well as standardised processes and systems, one of their locations will have a commercial director focused on managing day to day customer relationships and supporting a local sales executive in their pursuit of new business.
About The Role
As a commercially aware team leader, you will be able to communicate credibly with senior people and their customers. You will understand how a technical solution within their portfolio can fill an emerging customer business need. You will be able to set expectations on cost, delivery, and quality for new customer projects and support a sales executive in obtaining new customers.
You will be able to hold the technical team accountable for project and service delivery and set the correct priorities when conflicts arise.
Key Responsibilities:
To ensure that they deliver high levels of customer satisfaction and retention
To conduct customer account management meetings in person and via video conference
To support the local sales executive in the development of new business opportunities
To hit budget targets
To use customer relationships to drive upsell opportunities
To advise the marketing team on growth opportunities to target
To grow their presence in your assigned region
Required Experience:
Experience in a commercial setting
A minimum of 3 GCSEs grade C or above (or equivalent) - including Mathematics and English
Full UK driving licence
Experience with Hubspot, Connectwise and Microsoft 365 (training will be provided)
Understanding of financial reports - P&L, sales pipelines, budgets
Experience in sales in the context of IT & Technology is highly preferred
Required Skills:
A willingness to work hard to develop customer relationships and on support for the sales executive
Excellent interpersonal skills
A can-do attitude and an ability to work mostly unsupervised
Excellent English language skills, both written and verbal
Good telephone manner
A strong drive and desire to grow
