What are we looking for?
Otis is seeking a qualified and experienced EH&S Manager to support our operations across London and the Southeast region.
This role will provide professional EH&S support and direction to operational managers, supervisors and field employees involved in elevator and escalator installation activities, ensuring compliance with legal, Otis and customer requirements.
Day to day responsibilities will include
*
Supporting operations to implement the EH&S requirements including EH&S Management System, Minimum Operating Requirements (MOR’s), Cardinal Rules, Standard Practices (SP’s) and Standard Work Instructions (SWI)
*
Keeping abreast of new legislation, developing and delivering training programmes,
Proposing improvements to safety and environmental management systems, EHS projects
*
Ensuring timely reporting, participating in regional and operational management meetings and providing cover for the rest of the UK EH&S team
The key objectives will be to work with line management, EH&S team members and operations to provide support and direction to implement corporate and business EH&S programs and processes that will ensure compliance with local EH&S regulations and business standards.
In order to be considered you will have a proven track record of EH&S management with experience working across multiple sites and have a relevant EH&S qualification. You will possess a hands on, flexible approach with the capability to thrive in a data hungry, fast paced and demanding corporate environment.
To be successful in this role you will:

Have experience in working on high rise elevator installation projects as a requirement to be considered for the role
*
Have experience in working in escalator infrastructure projects (desirable)
*
Have knowledge of elevator and escalator construction safe systems of work.
*
Have knowledge of the codes, standard and regulations associated with the lift and escalator industry as a requirement to be considered for the role.
*
Have knowledge of Lift and Escalator industry best practice
*
Have a EHS related Degree or qualification as a requirement to be considered for the role
*
Be qualified as an ISO Auditor
*
You will be IT literate with a good knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint,
*
Able to produce reports, training material and present findings.
*
Your key experience will include implementing EH&S programmes, undertaking audits, accident investigation and identifying corrective actions.

Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders and to truly engage your community to embrace EH&S in all they undertake
