Regional Finance Director

Our client, a leading name within the Property / Residential Development space, has an exciting opportunity for a Finance Director to join the team in their East Anglia office

The Role

As Regional Finance Director you would report to the Managing Director and will lead all financial aspects of the region and drive financial strategy and growth. You would have ownership of all financial planning, analysis, control and reporting working alongside other department heads to ensure objectives within the budgets / forecasts are met,

Key Responsibilities of the Regional Finance Director:

• Oversee financial planning, analysis, control, and reporting for the region
• Acting as a commercial partner to the MD supporting them in all aspects of management and leadership, also acting as a deputy as required
• Contribute to investment appraisals for land purchases and development projects
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash management processes and monitoring performance against budgets and forecasts
• Oversee preparation of monthly management accounts and associated financial analysis
• Develop, control and implement strategies to enable effective financial control and management over the region.
• Provide strategic financial guidance to the regional board of directors
• Lead and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence

Required knowledge and experience for the Regional Finance Director:

• Professional accountancy qualification
• Significant experience in a senior Finance position from within UK construction/housebuilding
• Strong financial management and commercial acumen and track record of supporting business growth
• Excellent analytical and communication skills
• Proven ability to influence change and build robust financial management systems
