A leading international Main Contractor is continuing its rapid expansion across the Nordic region following the award of several major hyperscale data centre projects.
As a result, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Area Safety Manager to provide strategic Health, Safety & Wellbeing leadership across multiple live sites.
You'll be responsible for influencing leadership teams, developing people, driving continuous improvement and ensuring every project consistently delivers best-in-class safety performance.

The Role
As Area Safety Manager, you'll have responsibility for supporting a portfolio of live projects throughout Sweden, Finland, Denmark and Norway.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Providing strategic Health & Safety leadership across multiple projects.
* Supporting, mentoring and developing project-based EHS Managers and Advisors.
* Working closely with Project Directors and senior operational teams to drive a proactive safety culture.
* Carrying out regular site inspections, leadership tours and compliance audits.
* Reviewing project performance and identifying opportunities for continual improvement.
* Leading incident investigations and ensuring effective corrective actions are implemented.
* Sharing lessons learnt across the wider business to improve standards on future projects.
* Supporting project mobilisation and ensuring robust safety systems are established from day one.
* Monitoring compliance with local legislation, company procedures and client requirements.
* Producing regional safety reports and presenting findings to senior leadership.
* Promoting behavioural safety initiatives and encouraging positive engagement across all levels of the workforce.
About You
We're looking for an experienced Health & Safety professional who is confident leading teams across multiple projects and enjoys building strong relationships with operational stakeholders.
* Extensive Health & Safety experience within construction.
* Previous experience working for a Main Contractor.
* Experience delivering Data Centre, Mission Critical, Pharmaceutical, Industrial or other major complex construction projects.
* Strong knowledge of European construction safety legislation.
* Excellent leadership, communication and influencing skills.
* The ability to mentor and develop site-based EHS professionals.
* NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent).
* A willingness to travel regularly throughout the Nordic region.
* EU Passport preffered
