Overview:
Unify are thrilled to be recruiting for a Sales Manager to join an established Plant Hire company covering the Essex and surrounding areas. You will join a leading provider of Plant Hire and Haulage service throughout the UK who are currently undergoing remarkable growth whilst supporting the UK’s Construction sector.
Reporting to the Head of Sales, you will lead and develop the regional Sales Team, driving performance, achieving budgets and delivering profitable growth. You will be responsible for developing sales strategies, growing existing accounts, securing new business and building strong relationships across the business and with customers.
What do I need?
* Proven sales leadership experience, ideally within the equipment hire, plant hire or construction plant industry.
* Strong track record of developing and delivering sales strategies and account plans.
* Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to motivate, develop and bring the best out of a sales team.
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with confidence engaging at all levels.
* Commercially aware, with experience managing budgets, performance and reporting.
* Customer-focused with a professional, engaging approach and a strong focus on delivering excellent service.
* Full UK Driving Licence (Essential), alongside a high level of enthusiasm, integrity and commercial drive.
Responsibilities:
* Lead, coach and develop the UK Sales Team, creating a motivated, high-performing and collaborative culture.
* Take ownership of sales performance, ensuring revenue, portfolio growth and profitability targets are achieved.
* Develop and implement sales strategies aligned with wider business objectives, with a strong focus on profitable new business.
* Drive growth across new and existing customer accounts, building strong and long-lasting client relationships.
* Support the team with key customer visits, meetings and industry events to maximise commercial opportunities.
* Work closely with Commercial and other internal teams to ensure tenders, proposals and agreements are delivered accurately and on time.
* Promote a “One Team” approach across the UK sales function, encouraging collaboration and shared success.
* Monitor budgets, sales performance and debt management, providing clear direction and accountability while maintaining a strong customer-first approach.
