Job Description - Registered Care Home Manager

Care Home Manager (Registered Nurse) - Transformative Leadership Opportunity

Location: Olney, Buckinghamshire
Salary: Up to £75K

This position demands a skilled manager familiar with CQC regulations, capable of driving the home towards exceptional performance both in care quality and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead with Compassion: As the Care Home Manager , provide strong leadership and direction to our dedicated staff, fostering a culture of kindness and empathy.
  • Team Development: Recruit, train, and retain a team of care professionals committed to delivering outstanding, person-centred care.
  • Regulatory Excellence: Ensure full compliance with CQC and other regulatory standards, maintaining the highest quality of care and support.
  • Financial Stewardship: Oversee the home's budget, manage costs effectively, and meet financial targets.
  • Marketing & Occupancy: Implement strategic marketing plans to maintain full occupancy and promote the home's services to potential residents and stakeholders.
  • Stakeholder Relationships: Build and nurture positive relationships with residents, their families, and all stakeholders, addressing their needs and concerns proactively.
  • Administrative Oversight: Ensure timely and efficient completion of all administrative tasks and maintain meticulous records.
  • Continuous Improvement: Monitor and evaluate the home's performance, identifying and implementing necessary improvements.
  • Risk Management: Proactively manage and mitigate risks to ensure a safe environment for both residents and staff.

Skills and Attributes:

  • Experience: Over 2 years of managing a nursing home, with a proven track record of working towards or achieving Outstanding CQC ratings.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships at all levels.
  • Business Acumen: Demonstrated success in marketing and managing a commercially successful care home within the private care sector.
  • Passion for Care: Deep enthusiasm and commitment to developing high-quality, person-centred care.
  • Growth-Oriented: Ability to contribute actively to the growth and development of the care service.

Education and Qualifications:

  • NMC Registered Nurse: Essential with relevant post-registration experience.
  • Care Home Management: 2-3 years of hands-on experience in managing a care home.
