Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 (dependent on experience and qualifications)

Our client is seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Children's Home Manager to lead a residential service providing high-quality care to children and young people with mental health conditions, learning disabilities, and behaviours that challenge. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children by creating a safe, nurturing, and empowering environment.

As the Registered Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care, compliance, and support for both young people and staff. You will provide strong leadership, promote best practices, and work closely with external agencies, families, and professionals to achieve positive outcomes for the children in your care.

What We’re Looking For

  • A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).

  • At least three years of experience in a senior role within a children's residential setting.

  • In-depth knowledge of psychological child development, including the impact of trauma and disabilities.

  • Strong understanding of childcare legislation, reports related to residential care, and current best practices.

  • Experience managing Ofsted inspections and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

  • Passionate about providing high-quality care and making a real difference in young people’s lives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the home to provide a safe, caring, and therapeutic environment for children and young people.

  • Ensure the home operates in full compliance with Ofsted regulations, childcare legislation, and best practices.

  • Develop and implement care plans that support each child's emotional, social, and educational development.

  • Support and supervise a dedicated team, fostering a positive and inclusive culture.

  • Monitor and manage budgets, staffing levels, and operational needs of the service.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including social workers, healthcare professionals, and families.

  • Drive continuous improvement within the home, ensuring the best possible outcomes for young people.
