Registered Children's Home Manager

On behalf of my client we are recruiting for a Registered Children's Home Manager. The home is 4 bedded and due to open early 2019. You must have a minimum of five years’/ or equivalent experience in a residential care setting caring for a similar group and a minimum of 2 years management experience in a similar setting. Extensive experience of working with young people experiencing emotional problems, associated challenging behaviour and/or educational underachievement.

You must also have one of the following qualifications. DipSW, CQSW, or QCF Level 5 or equivalent.

This is a full time position, starting salary potential of £36,400 inclusive of on-call & bonus

You will be required to take total responsibility for the management of the care and therapy within the Home and to provide the optimum caring and therapeutic environment for the young people. This care must be provided in accordance with National Minimum Standards (Children’s Homes 2010) together with Children’s Homes Regulations’ 2001, as the bases for the regulatory framework under the Care Standards ACT 2002(CSA). To meet and exceed the requirements of the Registering and Placing Authorities. To achieve and exceed the expected professional standards. To work to the principles and policies of Total Care Matters and the national five outcomes required within the Every Child Matters - 2004.

Ensure that the Home is constantly being improved and developed to achieve excellent Ofsted outcomes. Ensures that appropriate standards are maintained, especially in relation to: Care and therapy programmes for young people. Health & Safety, Fire Safety, and Environmental Health. Key aspects of Policy Folder – Young Person Protection, Equal Opportunities, Behaviour, Complaints Representations. Maintenance, decoration, cleanliness and grounds.
