Job Description - Registered Children's Home Manager


Job Title: Registered Children's Home Manager (Solo Provision)
Location: Warrington (WA2)
Salary: £55,000 – £60,000 + Bonuses (Up to £66,000 Year 1)
Working Hours: Full Time
Service: Children’s Residential Home
Service Users: 1 Child (Solo Provision – EBD / Therapeutic Needs)
Qualifications Required: Level 5 Leadership & Management (or working towards)
Experience Required: Previous Ofsted registration preferred (within last 2 years for experienced package)
Employment Type: Permanent


The Home:


Number of Beds: 1 (Solo Provision)
Location: Warrington (WA2)
Type of YP: EBD / Therapeutic needs
Ofsted Status: Registration ready / planning approved
Staffing Model: High support, therapeutic approach


The Role:


This is a unique opportunity to lead a solo children’s home from registration through to operation, offering a highly therapeutic and structured environment for one young person.


The role was originally designed as a dual management position but has now transitioned into a dedicated single-home leadership role, allowing full focus on quality of care and outcomes.


Package Options:


Experienced Registered Manager (Level 5 + Held Ofsted Registration 12+ months):
Salary: £60,000
Ofsted Bonus: £3,000 (Outstanding) / £1,500 (Good)
Signing Bonus: £1,000 after 3 months + £2,000 after 6 months
Year 1 Package: Up to £66,000
Ongoing Package: Circa £63,000


New Manager (Working Towards Level 5, No Prior Registration):
Salary: £55,000
Ofsted Bonus: £3,000 (Outstanding) / £1,500 (Good)
Signing Bonus: £1,000 after 3 months + £2,000 after 6 months
Year 1 Package: Up to £61,000
Ongoing Package: Circa £58,000


Who we are looking for…


Experienced in Ofsted-regulated children’s homes (or ready to step up into registration)
Level 5 qualified or actively working towards
Strong understanding of safeguarding and regulations
Confident leading Ofsted registration and inspections
Values therapeutic, trauma-informed care
