Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Care
Salary: £50,000 – £55,000 per annum
Bonuses: £5,000 welcome bonus + annual bonus
Location: West Sussex

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Registered Manager to lead a well-established children’s residential home specialising in Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). With an amazing Ofsted rating, this home supports young people with complex needs and promotes a nurturing, trauma-informed environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of a children's residential service
• Lead and support a dedicated team with mentoring and professional development
• Develop and maintain child-focused care plans in line with regulatory standards
• Manage referrals, build trusted relationships with external professionals
• Monitor budgets, rotas, and service quality to maintain high standards
• Ensure compliance with Ofsted, safeguarding, and internal policies
• Foster a therapeutic and emotionally supportive environment

Requirements

• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management of Residential Childcare
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a children’s residential care setting
• Strong understanding of safeguarding, Ofsted inspections, and compliance
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care models
• Proven leadership and communication skills
• Ability to collaborate with families, professionals, and stakeholders
