Job Description - Registered Manager

we are looking for an experienced Registered Home Manager to manage a residential home which specialises in offering Outdoor activities in Cumbria. The home is dual registered with Ofsted and AALA. The home is well established and provides excellent outcomes for the children who are well established in their routines. The home has excellent staff retention levels and has maintained Outstanding or good in all areas. We believe in putting young people first — and we're proud to be recognised for our child -centred, therapeutic approach.

Role and Responsibilities

  • To be responsible for the day to day operation/Management of an Ofsted regulated residential provision.
  • Lead, support, and develop staff teams to provide a therapeutic, child -centred environment.
  • Maintain full compliance with Ofsted and Children’s Homes Regulations.
  • Manage and personalise Care plans to each child to meet there needs and
  • Promote structure, emotional regulation, and preparation for adulthood while providing a safe nurturing setting.
  • To develop high standards of communication with local authorities, social workers, schools, health professionals, and families.
  • Working knowledge of The Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and the ‘Guide to the Children’s Homes Regulations, including the Quality Standards 2015.
  • Excellent knowledge of the Social Care Common Inspection Framework

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a managerial role within a Children's Residential setting.
  • Level 5 in Leadership & Management in Children & Young People.
  • Level 3 & 4 Diploma in Children's Residential.
  • Experience in or an understanding of AALA
  • Proven track record with Ofsted achieving a ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ grading as a Registered Manager/Deputy Manager.
  • Within the last 5 years, to have at least 2 years’ experience in a position relevant to the residential care of children.
  • Worked for a least 1 year in a role requiring the supervision and management of staff working in a care role.
  • Must have a valid UK Driving Licence and access to own Vehicle.
