Registered Manager, Adults with Complex Needs

Job Description - Registered Manager, Adults with Complex Needs

Brava Education is working with a specialist charity near Guildford, Surrey, which is looking for an experienced Registered Manager to lead a group of its residential services for adults with complex needs.

The role

This is a senior, hands-on Registered Manager role within an established specialist setting. The service supports adults of all ages with complex and multiple needs, including autism, learning and physical disabilities, ADHD and epilepsy. Many of the people supported have several of these needs at once.

You will hold the CQC registration for a group of residential services and lead a team made up of a deputy, senior support workers, support workers, night staff and bank staff, including supervisions and appraisals. The service has its own health and wellbeing team, so complex health needs are managed with specialist support close at hand.

The role also includes responsibility for staffing, the rota and the operational budget, leading on MCA, DoLS, safeguarding and CQC notifications, and keeping services inspection-ready. You will administer rescue medication where needed and act as the main contact for families.

About you

- Level 5 in Health and Social Care, or Level 4 and willing to complete Level 5.
- Management experience in adult learning disability, autism or complex care. Experience mainly in older people's or dementia care will not be enough for this role.
- Experience managing more than one service or staff team.
- Strong working knowledge of MCA, DoLS and safeguarding.
- Registered Manager experience is preferred. Experienced deputies ready to take on CQC registration within six months will also be considered.
- Flexibility to support weekends, emergencies and on-call when needed.
- A full driving licence is preferred.

Terms

The role is full time and permanent, with a salary of £50,000 and a start from November. Benefits include:

- Generous employer pension contribution
- Health cash plan
- Free on-site parking

The process

Interviews will take place on 21 October, following a short screening call. If you think this could be the right role for you, please get in touch
