Location: Plymouth, PL6 Salary: £50,000 – £55,000 per annum Bonus: Up to £5,000 per year Service: Children's Residential – Learning Disabilities & Complex Needs
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead a children's residential home in Plymouth (PL6), supporting three young people with learning disabilities and additional complex needs.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Registered Manager or a strong Deputy Manager looking to progress, joining a supportive and growing organisation with a genuine focus on providing high-quality, child-centred care.
The Role
As Registered Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of the home, creating a safe, nurturing and positive environment where young people are supported to achieve the best possible outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading, motivating and developing the residential care team, including recruitment, supervision, appraisals and training
* Ensuring the home meets Ofsted, Children's Homes Regulations and safeguarding requirements
* Overseeing care plans, risk assessments and positive outcomes for young people
* Managing staffing levels, rotas, budgets, resources and service performance
* Working closely with social workers, families, education providers, healthcare professionals and other stakeholders
* Managing incidents, complaints and safeguarding concerns appropriately
* Driving continuous improvement and maintaining high standards across the service
About You
We're looking for someone with:
* Previous experience within children's residential care
* Management experience as a Registered Manager, Deputy Manager or equivalent
* Experience supporting young people with learning disabilities, autism and/or complex needs
* Strong knowledge of Ofsted, Children's Homes Regulations and safeguarding
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare, or currently working towards
* Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
* Full UK Driving Licence
