Summary

Responsibilities

Leadership & Service Management

• Lead and manage the Children's Respite Home.

• Supervise and develop residential care staff.
  
  


• Oversee staffing levels, recruitment, performance management, and workforce planning.
  
  


• Conduct regular supervision and appraisals.
  
  


• Facilitate staff training and ongoing professional development.
  
  


• Address employee wellbeing and performance issues.
  
  

Quality & Compliance

• Develop and maintain performance management frameworks.
  
  


• Produce quality of care and performance reports.
  
  


• Gather feedback from children, families, staff, and professionals.
  
  


• Promote continuous service improvement and evidence-based practice.
  
  

Financial & Resource Management

• Manage budgets and monitor expenditures.
  
  


• Ensure efficient use of staffing, resources, equipment, and facilities.
  
  


• Maintain safe and effective working environments.
  
  


• Monitor service performance against agreed objectives and standards.
  
  

Operational Responsibilities

• Chair meetings and placement reviews.
  
  


• Participate in the residential management on-call rota.
  
  


• Undertake occasional out-of-hours work as needed.
  
  


• Represent the home at relevant multi-agency meetings and forums.
  
  

Essential

• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care Services (Children and Young People's Registered Management) Wales & NI.
  
  


• Registered with Social Care Wales.
  
  


• Extensive experience in a Children's Residential Care setting at a senior or management level.
  
  


• Experience as a Registered Manager, Deputy Manager, or equivalent leadership role.
  
  


• Strong knowledge of:
