Location: Newton Abbot, Devon Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 per annum DOE Hours: Permanent - Full-time, 9.00am to 5.00pm with flexibility around the needs of the home Benefits: Performance-related bonus, 33 days annual leave, standard pension contribution and on-call allowance (TBC)

We have a fantastic opportunity to join a brand-new children's home in as a Registered Manager. This is a rare opportunity to join before the home opens and play a key role in shaping the culture, values and standards of the service from day one. You will have genuine influence over every aspect of the home, from supporting with Ofsted registration and recruitment through to creating a safe, therapeutic and nurturing environment where children can thrive. Key Responsibilities:
Lead the Ofsted registration process and support the successful opening of the home. Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of the children's home. Ensure compliance with Children's Homes Regulations, Quality Standards, Ofsted requirements and safeguarding legislation. Recruit, develop and lead a committed and high-performing staff team. Create a positive, nurturing and child-centred culture within the home. Ensure the welfare, safety and development of children remain at the heart of everything the service delivers. Support budget management, effective resource use and promote a strong health and safety culture for children and staff. Develop positive relationships with local authorities, families and external professionals. Drive continuous improvement and positive outcomes for children. Skills, Experience & Knowledge Requirements:
Level 5 Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare qualification, or willingness to work towards this. Level 3 Children's Workforce Diploma (or equivalent) is desirable. Minimum of 2 years residential childcare experience. Previous supervisory, Deputy Manager, Registered Manager or management experience within a care setting. Strong understanding of safeguarding, Children's Homes Regulations, Ofsted requirements and best practice within residential childcare. Experience leading, supporting and developing teams. Excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills. A passionate and driven individual committed to improving outcomes for children in care. Full UK driving licence is essential. Applications are welcomed from current Registered Managers, Deputy Managers looking for progression, and qualified Social Workers with management experience.

Competitive salary package of £50,000 - £60,000 per annum depending on experience. Performance-related bonus linked to successful Ofsted registration. 33 days annual leave entitlement. Standard pension contribution. On-call allowance (TBC). Full support throughout the Ofsted registration process, including specialist consultancy guidance and mock Ofsted interview preparation.
