About the Home

We are looking for an experienced, passionate and dedicated Registered Manager to lead our established 3-bed residential children's home supporting children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD).

The home provides a safe, nurturing and structured environment where young people are supported to develop positive relationships, build confidence, manage their emotions and achieve their individual potential.

The Role

As Registered Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day management and operation of the home, ensuring that children and young people receive consistently high standards of care and support.

You will lead, motivate and develop a dedicated team of residential care professionals while ensuring the home operates in accordance with relevant legislation, regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities

* Take overall responsibility for the management and operation of the 3-bed children's home.

* Ensure the home provides a safe, stable, nurturing and therapeutic environment.

* Lead and motivate the staff team, promoting a positive and professional culture.

* Recruit, induct, supervise and develop staff.

* Ensure staff receive appropriate training and ongoing professional development.

* Develop and maintain high standards of care planning, safeguarding and record keeping.

* Ensure individual care plans and risk assessments are regularly reviewed and updated.

* Work closely with social workers, placing authorities, education providers, health professionals and families.

* Promote positive outcomes for every young person living in the home.

* Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed and concerns are appropriately reported and managed.

* Monitor incidents, complaints, allegations and significant events and take appropriate action.

* Maintain compliance with Ofsted requirements, regulations and the home's Statement of Purpose.

* Prepare the home for Ofsted inspections and respond appropriately to recommendations.

* Monitor staff performance and address any issues effectively and fairly.

* Manage rotas, staffing levels and resources to ensure the home operates safely and effectively.

* Maintain accurate records and ensure the home is consistently inspection-ready.

* Promote a culture of continuous improvement
