Registered Nurse

We are looking for nurses to work in
residential nursing homes. Candidates must have the ability to provide the
highest standards of care, both directly and by effectively supervising junior
colleagues or staff members working shifts.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining accurate records
  
• Ensuring residents have
  personal care plans
  
• Carrying out regular checks on
  residents and providing shift relief with a clear and concise handover report
  
• Administering prescribed
  medicines and document the same in accordance with the Company’s procedure and
  NMC guidelines.
  
• Supervise and instruct junior
  and new Staff Members in all aspects of their work in the Care Home, giving
  help, guidance and constructive feedback where appropriate.
  
• Ensure all commodities used in
  and around the Care Home are sensibly conserved by all Staff Members e.g.
  monitor usage of incontinence aids, wipes, dressings, electricity etc., giving
  constructive feedback.
  
• Maintain all logbooks and
  records as required by both the Registering Authority and the Directors of the
  Company.
  
• You will manage and maintain
  agreed budgets, look for best value in your work and keep waste to a minimum.
  
• Carry out any other reasonable
  management request.
  

Requirements

• BSc or Diploma in nursing
  
• Valid registration and
  licensing
  
• Minimum 3 years working
  experience
  
• Proof of proficiency in English
  
• Willing to be a proactive person,
  take ownership and speak up about issues
  
• Willing to undertake carer
  duties as well as nursing duties
  
• Specialized experience
  desirable (eg disability, geriatrics, dementia, schizophrenia
  
• Reside in South Africa, Botswana, Eswatini or Namibia
