Registered Nurse – Nights

Location: Alne, near York
Pay: £19.00–£21.00 per hour
Hours: Approximately 40 hours per week
Shifts: Predominantly nights
Contract: Full-time, permanent
Registration: RGN, RMN or RNLD

The Brookes Recruitment Group is recruiting a Registered Nurse for a specialist nursing service near York.

The service supports adults living with physical disabilities, neurological conditions and complex nursing needs. The team is committed to delivering personalised care that promotes dignity, independence and quality of life.

The role

As the Registered Nurse on shift, you will provide safe, compassionate and person-centred clinical care while supporting and guiding the wider care team.

Your responsibilities will include:

* Assessing, planning and reviewing residents compassionate and person-centred clinical’ nursing needs

* Creating and maintaining individualised care plans

* Administering medication safely and accurately

* Monitoring residents and responding to changes in their health

* Providing complex and specialist nursing support

* Leading and supporting care staff during night shifts

* Completing accurate clinical records and documentation

* Delivering clear and effective handovers

* Liaising with families, healthcare professionals and external agencies

* Maintaining high standards of safeguarding and clinical governance

* Responding appropriately to emergencies and deteriorating health

About you

You will need:

* Valid UK NMC registration

* Strong clinical judgement and communication skills

* A compassionate and person-centred approach

* Confidence leading a team during night shifts

* Good organisational and record-keeping skills

* The ability to remain calm and professional in complex situations

* A commitment to delivering safe and respectful care

Experience within complex nursing, neurological conditions, physical disabilities, PEG care, tracheostomy care or end-of-life care would be beneficial, although nurses from other relevant backgrounds will also be considered.
