Regulatory Controller - Consultant

We are hiring for an accountant in Financial Services who can act as a consultant onsite with our client, helping them with a range of regulatory reporting and liquidity reporting production needs, as well as automation of reporting utilising the latest AI and dashboarding tools.

The core role will be onsite with a client and cover the following:

1. A broad range of regulatory submissions across EMEA, which includes external and internal monitoring deliverables. They will also need to respond to ad-hoc regulatory queries.
2. The production of high-quality regulatory returns, investigating variances and reporting this to management in a timely fashion, ultimately helping the wider to team to meet its deadlines and quality expectations for EMEA.
3. Embed and oversee a strong control environment and adhere to regulatory governance policies.
4. Partner with the wider financial control team across the EMEA regions and other business areas particularly Corporate Treasury in the production of regulatory and liquidity returns.
5. Manage day-to-day work of a small team, ensuring accuracy and timeliness, acting as a role model and culture carrier within the EMEA Finance function, supporting business strategy.
6. Help Financial Control to deliver on regulatory change projects and initiatives to support the business strategy regarding new regulatory rules, advisory work on business changes and restructures, platform migration, legal entity restructuring, new branches, new business start-ups and product launches.
7. Lead automation and improvement initiatives, delivering quantifiable evolution of reporting.

We require someone to have the following skills:

1. Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
2. Experience in broad regulatory reporting within banking, or more specifically liquidity regulatory reporting.
3. Track record of delivering process automation and efficiency improvements and utilising data and dashboarding tools.
4. Exposure to intelligent automation projects
5. Strong understanding of UK and EU regulatory frameworks
6. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with an ability to mentor more junior accountants.
