Job Description - Relationship Manager

Relationship Manager
£50000 - £60000 + bonus + benefits
City of London (Hybrid working model)

We’re partnering with a well-established, growing SME bank in the City of London that is looking to appoint a Relationship Manager within its Real Estate lending team, with a particular focus on buy-to-let and development finance. This role offers the opportunity to manage and grow a portfolio of property clients while gaining hands-on exposure to both investment and development transactions across the UK market.

Key responsibilities:

Manage and develop a portfolio of real estate clients, with a core focus on buy-to-let and property development lending
Support the origination, structuring, and execution of new lending opportunities
Assess development finance deals, including funding structures, exit strategies, and project viability
Conduct credit analysis and work closely with credit teams to progress transactions
Monitor existing facilities, ensuring covenant compliance and ongoing risk management
Build and maintain strong relationships with borrowers, brokers, and internal stakeholders

Ideal background:

Experience in real estate lending, with exposure to buy-to-let and/or development finance
Strong understanding of UK property markets, including investor and developer clients
Ability to analyse credit risk and structure lending solutions
Confident managing client relationships in a commercial banking environment
Comfortable working in a collaborative SME bank setting
