Religious Education Teacher - Church of England School - Richmond

A respected Church of England School in Richmond is seeking a dedicated Religious Education Teacher to join our Humanities department. We are looking for an educator who can inspire students to explore religious and ethical questions through a Christian lens.

About the Role:

• Deliver engaging and challenging Religious Education lessons across Key Stages 3-5, including GCSE and A-Level.


• Develop and implement lesson plans covering Christian theology, ethics, and world religions.


• Facilitate student-led discussions, debates, and presentations.


• Assess student progress through essays, presentations, and examinations.


• Contribute to the development and enhancement of the RE curriculum.


• Organize and lead extracurricular activities, such as religious studies clubs and interfaith dialogues.

Ideal Candidate:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong background in Religious Education or Theology.


• Extensive experience teaching RE at the secondary level, preferably in a faith school setting.


• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.


• A passion for fostering religious understanding and ethical reflection.
