A successful secondary school in Hertford is looking to appoint a dedicated Religious Education Teacher to join its thriving Humanities department from September. This is an excellent opportunity to teach within a department that values discussion, critical thinking and respectful debate while helping students develop a deeper understanding of religion, philosophy and ethics.

The successful candidate will teach Religious Education across KS3 and KS4, with the opportunity to teach A-Level Religious Studies. Students explore Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Buddhism and other world faiths alongside philosophical and ethical topics including justice, human rights, relationships, medical ethics and morality.

The Humanities faculty works closely together to deliver engaging lessons that encourage students to question, analyse and evaluate a wide range of viewpoints. Lessons regularly incorporate discussion, independent research and contemporary issues, helping students become confident, respectful and reflective learners.
