The Opportunity

We're looking for a commercially astute, technically minded Area Sales Manager to spearhead new business development and account management in the Midlands region.

You'll identify new opportunities, target key industrial manufacturers, OEMs, systems integrators and engineering businesses, building relationships from the very first conversation through to securing new business and growing existing accounts.

You'll enjoy the freedom to develop your own sales strategy, create your own pipeline and directly influence the future growth of the business.

What You'll Be Doing

• Identifying, targeting and securing new business opportunities.


• Developing relationships with industrial manufacturers, automation specialists and engineering companies


• Selling Pepperl+Fuchs' industry-leading portfolio of industrial sensors, automation and safety solutions


• Delivering technical presentations and product demonstrations


• Building and managing a healthy pipeline of qualified opportunities


• Working closely with internal technical specialists and Business Development managers to maximise opportunities


• Using CRM, market intelligence and AI-powered sales tools to drive commercial success


• Representing Pepperl+Fuchs at exhibitions, industry events and customer meetings

Who We're Looking For

We're interested in ambitious sales professionals who are passionate about winning.

You will ideally have:

• A successful track record in business development or technical field sales


• Experience selling into industrial manufacturing, factory automation, engineering or process industries


• A genuine hunter mentality with a passion for generating and converting new business


• Strong commercial awareness and excellent relationship-building skills


• A technical aptitude with the ability to communicate engineering solutions confidently


• Knowledge of industrial sensors, automation, controls, instrumentation or industrial electronics would be highly advantageous


• The drive, resilience and determination to consistently exceed targets
