Associate Quantity Surveyor

An outstanding opportunity has arisen for an Associate Quantity Surveyor to join a forward-thinking, multi-disciplinary construction consultancy known for delivering high-quality projects across healthcare, residential, commercial, education, retail and local government sectors.

The Associate Quantity Surveyor Role

This Associate Quantity Surveyor role is a key strategic hire, with a clear pathway to Director. The current Director is stepping up into a wider leadership role and is looking for someone with the drive, commercial mindset and leadership qualities to take over his day-to-day responsibilities and help shape the future of the business.

As Associate Quantity Surveyor, you'd be involved in:

• Strategic business development - building client relationships, identifying and opening up new sectors.
• Helping diversify the business away from its healthcare-heavy portfolio (currently 60%) and into new, commercially viable markets.
• Potentially bringing a fresh network, new ideas, or a different specialism to complement the team.
• Leadership of a team across various locations (who already work effectively on Teams) - no micromanagement, just a collaborative culture.

This role offers true flexibility, with no fixed requirement to attend the office. While the consultancy's head office is based in Coventry, the team is geographically spread and remote working is fully embedded into their culture. You may choose to visit the Coventry office occasionally (typically once a week or less), but this is entirely flexible and based on individual preference and project needs.

The Associate Quantity Surveyor - Requirements

• A RICS Accredited degree qualification
• MRICS ideally
• A good background in Business Development - developing relationships, winning work and identifying new sectors & avenues to explore
• The desire to get involved in some team management / leadership
• The ability to work remotely, possibly travelling to Coventry head office on occasion
