Job Description - By-Election Manager

Position: By-Election Manager 


Department: Campaigns and Training


Reports to: Director of Campaigns and Training


Location: Westminster & Remote (Full-Time Contract)


 


Role Overview


The By-Election Manager is responsible for overseeing all Reform UK by-election campaigns nationwide. This role ensures the effective coordination of candidates and volunteers, maintains administrative consistency, and guarantees timely delivery of campaign materials. The postholder will work closely with regional teams to ensure local campaigns are professionally run and aligned with national strategy.


While this role is based at our Westminster HQ, the ideal candidate will be ready to roll up their sleeves and get out on the ground to support by-election campaigns nationwide. You’ll be a natural people-person with sharp administrative and organisational skills, able to juggle multiple priorities and play a vital role in driving results across the UK.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Lead and coordinate all Reform UK by-election campaigns across the country.

  • Track and lay the groundwork for potential Parliamentary By-Elections

  • Manage the end-to-end administrative process, including candidate paperwork and compliance.

  • Liaise with candidates, regional directors, and local branches to ensure campaign readiness.

  • Coordinate volunteer deployment.

  • Oversee the distribution and production of campaign literature and promotional materials.

  • Monitor campaign progress and provide regular reports to senior leadership.

  • Ensure adherence to legal and electoral requirements.


Essential Skills and Experience:



  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.

  • Experience in political campaigning or election management.

  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities.

  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.

  • Knowledge of electoral law and procedures (desirable but not essential).
