Commissioning Engineer

Commissioning Engineer - Field Based anywhere in the UK - lots of travelling - company car included. Our client is a global leader in pharmaceutical process technology, providing integrated solutions for developing, processing, and manufacturing powder solids. Their customers include key blue chip pharmaceutical companies in the OSD (oral solid dose) industries across Ireland and the UK.

Job Summary:
This role offers hands-on customer support encompassing installation, commissioning, and project support, alongside technical backup for existing installations.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Execute startup, commissioning, calibration, and validation testing of newly manufactured Glatt equipment and associated control systems onsite.
- Liaise with key pharmaceutical customer representatives onsite to ensure technical needs are met to Glatt's high standards.
- Perform mechanical/electrical works including preventative maintenance, upgrades/retrofits, and breakdown support on existing Glatt equipment.
- Collaborate with Glatt-appointed subcontractors onsite during installation and upgrade projects.
- Conduct planned preventative maintenance/service visits and provide breakdown support on Glatt equipment.

Additional Information:
- Technical qualification/background with automation, mechanical, and electrical knowledge required, understanding of pneumatics and instrumentation beneficial.
- Siemens and Allen Bradley PLC knowledge highly advantageous; SCADA knowledge also desirable.
- Hands-on role involving active onsite work; travel across Ireland and the UK, with potential for overseas assignments.
- Third-level technical qualification desirable; excellent communication, organizational skills, and respect for onsite Health & Safety requirements essential.
- Full clean driver's licence required and willing to travel and stay away regularly.
