Delivery Manager

This role plays a critical part in delivering Greene King’s ambitions through the planning, 

management and execution of changes to our Data & AI capability. You will have a 

strong background in Delivery Management based on modern technologies and industry 

best practice.

 

• Create, manage and ensure the successful implementation of the Data & AI delivery road map, ensuring delivery of demonstratable real value to Greene King
• Own and manage the delivery of Data & AI related projects and changes
• Identifying and managing project & Continual Improvement (CI) scope, objectives, & critical success factors
• Tracking and reporting progress to stakeholders with a focus on burn down of budget, resources, schedule, and scope
• Leading the identification of critical dependencies and risks likely to impact the delivery
• Manage dependencies between delivery teams and non-Digital affiliated teams (e.g. infrastructure, EPOS teams)
• Deliver high quality software solutions to enable development through internal and external partner resources
• Working with the Group Data & AI Lead, identify effective ways of working to drive overall delivery and continuous improvement of processes and performance
• Refine, prioritise and schedule backlog items (Epics, Features etc)
• Engage and enable cost-effective, high-quality development services for Greene King
• Proactively research latest developments and emerging trends in data engineering, AI and data science which apply to our industry

• A demonstrable passion and drive for technology modernisation, delivery, and best practice
• Significant experience in managing the delivery of Data and AI centric projects and changes
• Strong influencing and networking skills, able to communicate technology vision to a wide audience, both business and IT
• Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
• Highly self-motivated with a keen attention to detail
• Ability to effectively prioritise tasks in a high-pressure environment
• Logical, analytical approach to problem solving, the ability to maintain progress when there is ambiguity
• Able to find pragmatic and effective digital technology solutions to business problems
• Excellent knowledge of both Agile and Waterfall methodologies as well as the application of hybrid approaches
• Project Management qualification (e.g. Agile, Prince 2)
• Experience of managing third parties through the full project delivery lifecycle 
• Experience in managing cross-functional delivery teams including remote/offsite and external resources
• Experience in matrix-managing delivery resources
