We put focus on cultural transformation within the client's business and put high emphasis on transparency when we disagree. What do we do? 
At Ikigai, we specialise in helping clients build, launch, and run successful digital banks. At our core, we are passionate about solving the challenge of creating innovative and reliable financial services that benefit both clients and consumers. Our expertise is built on delivery, and we work side by side with our clients to help them build outstanding digital banks.

What would I be doing as a Platform Engineer at Ikigai?

• You’ll be building and managing modern, automated, cloud native, continuously delivered infrastructure and application pipelines.
• Fostering a culture of development and architecture that allows for iterative, autonomous development and future scaling.
• Helping create and extend a culture of observability across multiple teams and offering help using operational data to improve stability and performance of their domains.
• You’ll anticipate and communicate blockers, delays and cost ballooning before they require escalation and ensure expectations across teams and stakeholders are clarified between all parties involved.
• Think about practices and processes that affect teams/organisations; discuss improvements with appropriate parties, and drive implementation. 
• Collaborate with others and take ownership of decisions. 
• Provide clear documentation for actions, decisions and knowledge transfer.
• Recognise product opportunities and differentiators in relation to the competition.

What do we need from you already?

• You know best practices for building automated platforms. You have a belief in full automation, IaC and measuring key performance indicators. 
• You understand standards and controls for delivering software in regulated environments.
• Promoting and implementing security as code should be second nature.
• You have a strong understanding of cloud native technologies and prior experience in building highly scalable and fault tolerant systems.
• You’re a self-starter, capable of working without direction and able to deliver projects from scratch.
• You know IaC cloud build and management tools. 
• You can present and communicate ideas with both technical and non-technical audiences

🏝️Even though we’re remote and we love it, we often meet up when it suits us, when it’s productive and of course when it’s fun! We find it ideal for celebrating our big wins, for team meetings and for social events AND don’t forget our yearly company-wide get-togethers in the sun too! In 2023 we went to Thailand, in 2024 we visited Portugal and in 2025 we’ve just been to Vietnam!
