Job Description - Employee Relations Advisor

Are you a confident Employee Relations professional with experience in high-volume casework, ready to take ownership in a fast-paced, people-first environment? We’re looking for someone to join our leading UK restaurant chain as an Employee Relations Advisor for a maternity cover contract.

The Employee Relations Advisor is a home-based role with the autonomy to manage your own diary. You’ll travel to sites in teh South of England as needed and take ownership of the ER inbox for your region. You’ll also support ER training and coach managers to build their confidence in people management.

Benefits include £4,000 annual cash car allowance, £4,000, Discretionary bonus scheme, 25 days holiday + bank holidays, Employee Assistance Programme, £50,000 critical illness cover, Life insurance

Annual salary is £45000 and you’ll be working 40 hours a week.

As the Employee Relations Advisor you’ll be the go-to person for all things ER across the southern region, working closely with operational managers, you’ll provide expert guidance across a wide range of ER cases, ensuring fairness, consistency and compliance with employment law and company policy.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Managing a high volume of ER cases (absence, performance, grievances, disciplinaries, appeals)
  • Providing coaching and support to managers to resolve issues effectively
  • Ensuring best practice and adherence to company policy and employment law
  • Monitoring trends and producing ER reports
  • Delivering ER training where needed
  • Supporting continuous improvement in ER policy and processes

What You’ll Bring:

  • Extensive experience managing complex ER cases, ideally in hospitality, or a high-volume retail environment
  • Confident with UK employment law and handling sensitive or challenging conversations
  • Able to work at pace, independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills
  • CIPD Level 5 (or working towards) preferred
