As a Estate Cleaning Working Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our clients' spaces are maintained to the highest standards while also leading and managing a team of dedicated cleaning staff.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a self-motivated and passionate individual who is looking for a challenge and to be part of an ever growing campus. We are now recruiting for an experienced Working Supervisor, to be based on an iconic campus in Stratford, to Supervise our Estate Cleaning Team.
The Estate Cleaning Working Supervisor role is site based and will be a key leader in supervising a team of 4 staff and will be part of a wider cleaning team (26 total).
The Package
£17.50 per hour
20 days holiday per year (excluding bank holidays)
Monday to Friday 6am – 3pm
The Role
To assist Cleaning Account Manager & Assistant Manager in planning, organising, and managing all estate cleaning and Window Cleaning operations, ensuring the delivery of high standards, cleanliness and hygiene within the premises.
To ensure health and safety practices are followed for all works carried out on site by the team and support the team with guidance and instruction needed to carry out their duties.
As a supervisor, you will ensure that the company and client’s values, procedures and processes are followed by all team members and inspire service excellence.
The Duties
Team Leadership & Supervision
Management team of 4 direct reports
Support the wider team when needed (Cleaning & Campus Service Partners)
Supervise, motivate and direct the estate cleaning team on a day-to-day basis
Assist with recruitment and resourcing, interviewing and training new employees in the correct cleaning techniques and safety procedures
Work together with the Assistant Cleaning Manager, to manage the team schedules, ensuring adequate cover is in place for all duties and amendments made when required
Promote a positive team culture, encourage the team to engage in client events and activities
Support in the submission of payroll for the estate team
Manage stock of materials and consumables used for the estate
Carry out duties as per schedule (working supervisor role)
Health, Safety & Compliance
Promote and enforce a strong safety culture, ensuring all staff are aware and operate in accordance with company and client H&S procedures (e.g. COSHH regulations, RAMS, SOP’s)
Ensure all cleaning materials, chemicals and equipment are stored correctly and securely by conducting regular H&S audits and monitoring team usage
Ensure monthly stock orders are submitted on time and stock is managed and controlled
Report any equipment faults, defects or misuse to Assistant Manager and/or Cleaning Account Manager and ensure Cleaning Team are aware of and follow the correct reporting procedures
Conduct regular quality audits, ensuring standards are kept to the required standards and any improvements are communicated with the Team
Client & Stakeholders
Communicate effectively with all departments to ensure effective management overall
Respond to requests effectively and efficiently
The Person
Proven experience in contract cleaning, at a minimum of supervisory level (2+ Years)
Strong knowledge of COSHH, H&S regulations
Experience in HR matters (full training will be provided to align with the company Policies and Procedures – Desirable)
Excellent verbal communication skills
Strong organisational skills, time management and problem-solving skills
Ability to work flexible hours when required (some duties may be required to be carried out of an evening and weekends) and opportunities for over time
