£36,892 starting salary + paid door‑to‑door travel + overtime (earn £40k+) + company van (personal use allowed)
Full-time • Field-based • Home-based role

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Field Service Engineer, you’ll be home-based, covering the Milton Keynes area. Your role will involve servicing, repairing, and installing material handling equipment for a wide range of clients, including high-profile organisations. You’ll work on single and three-phase machinery, ensuring our equipment runs smoothly and efficiently to help customers achieve their productivity goals.

This is a varied role where no two days are the same. You’ll be trusted to manage your own schedule, deliver excellent customer service, and tackle technical challenges head-on.

You’ll work from home covering a local radius within the Milton Keynes region.

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Servicing, repairing and maintaining a wide range of materials handling equipment
  • Diagnosing faults on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and engine systems
  • Delivering an excellent customer experience across a varied client base
  • Managing your own workload and keeping accurate service records
  • Installing or commissioning new machinery where needed
  • Supporting customers to keep their operations safe, reliable and productive

Every day is different — this is a role for engineers who like autonomy and variety.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a mechanical engineer with some electrical experience. If you’ve worked in industries such as automotive, HGV, LGV, PSV, plant, agricultural, construction equipment, REME, or roadside recovery, we’d love to hear from you.

You’ll need a valid UK driving licence and practical knowledge of mobile machinery, electrical drive and control systems, diesel and LPG engines, hydraulics, and computer-based diagnostics. Previous field service experience is an advantage, but full product training will be provided.

Who We’re Looking For

You’ll succeed in this role if you have:

  • Mechanical engineering background with some electrical knowledge
  • Experience working on mobile machinery or similar equipment
  • Valid UK driving licence
  • Practical knowledge of:
    • electrical drive & control systems
    • diesel/LPG engines
    • hydraulics
    • computer-based diagnostics
