Hamilton: Full Time Nanny Needed for 1 Infant

Our Hamilton family is seeking a full time nanny for their sweet baby. Family is moving to Hamilton in October and is hoping to have a new nanny all set to start once they get settled. Infant experience is a must-have! We would like to hear from candidates that have a good understanding of developmental milestones and have experience supporting families through infancy and toddlerhood. Experience should include sleep schedules and nap routines, bottle feeding, starting solids, and age appropriate play and engagement. Candidates must be patient, warm, engaging, trustworthy, and reliable. Family has one friendly lab, so being dog-friendly is a requirement. No pet care needed. Caregiver must have safe and reliable vehicle to transport baby to and from local activities. Family will provide appropriate car seat. Must be comfortable with parents who work from home in a separate, designated office space. Family prefers a long term commitment and would love someone available to work the occasional over-night shift if Mom travels for work.

Base Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm

Charges: girl, 7 months

Hourly Rate: $30+/hour, competitive based on experience and fit. OT rate for hours over 40/week.

Benefits: Guaranteed 40 hours minimum pay/week, 2 weeks paid vacation, major holidays paid/off, 3 sick/personal days

Job description:

• Creating a safe and stimulating environment for baby
• Facilitating engaging and age appropriate activities, games, and outings
• Maintaining child's schedule, including naps
• Preparing bottles, meals and snacks for child
• Indoor and outdoor play
• Transporting child to and from activities, playdates, and groups
• Walks and plenty of outdoor time
• Cleaning bottles and keeping up with baby laundry during nap times

Requirements:

• 3+ years professional childcare experience
• Looking for long-term commitment
• Self-starter with a pitch-in attitude
• Non-smokers only, please.
• Up-to-date CPR/First Aid Certification
• Cheery and Helpful Disposition
• Background Check (provided by agency)
• Driving Record (provided by agency)
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent organization skills
• Takes good direction on parenting style then requires minimal to no oversight
