Key responsibilities

As Head of Compliance, you will:

• Own and develop the business's regulatory compliance framework
• Define and maintain the regulatory risk universe, policies and internal controls
• Lead the compliance monitoring plan and manage delivery through your team
• Oversee the compliance training plan, including bespoke training sessions
• Track and communicate regulatory developments across the business
• Act as the key contact for regulators and market bodies, managing reviews and interactions
• Provide compliance input into new business initiatives and market opportunities
• Lead oversight of sanctions screening, complaints management and data protection
• Maintain and enhance the firm's SM&CR framework, ensuring continued compliance
• Advise on product governance and document a fit-for-purpose oversight framework
• Coordinate the annual Lloyd's oversight principles self-assessment process

What we're looking for

• Proven experience in regulatory compliance within a Lloyd's market firm - essential
• A blend of advisory, policy, monitoring and oversight experience
• Ability to partner with business teams to provide clear, commercially aware compliance advice
• Strong understanding of UK regulatory frameworks, including FCA Handbook, SM&CR and Lloyd's oversight
• Previous exposure to areas like product governance, complaints, sanctions and data protection
• Confident communicator with strong leadership skills and the ability to influence at all levels
