Head of Corporate Development - Healthcare/Consumables PE-Backed

SJC Partners is exclusively managing the search for a Head of Corporate Development to join a private equity–backed group in the healthcare/consumables sector.

The role will own and drive the Group’s M&A strategy and execution across Western Europe, supporting its transformation into a fully integrated pan-European platform. Having completed numerous acquisitions to date, the Group now seeks to accelerate cross-border growth and requires an international profile to lead the end-to-end M&A process, from sourcing to post-merger integration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Shape and deliver the Group’s M&A strategy, identifying and executing value-enhancing opportunities.
• Lead full deal lifecycle: origination, due diligence, execution, and integration.
• Manage transaction risks and coordinate advisors.
• Partner with the CEO, PE investors, and senior leadership to drive strategic initiatives and prepare investment materials.

Candidate Profile:

• 7+ years in M&A, Corporate Development, Investment Banking, or Private Equity.
• Strong track record of executing international transactions; healthcare or PE-backed experience desirable.
• Skilled in financial modelling, valuation, due diligence, deal structuring, and post-merger integration.
• Highly analytical, commercially minded, and effective with stakeholders at board level.
• Fluent English essential; additional European languages (esp. French, Dutch, German, Spanish, Italian) preferred.
• Degree in Finance, Economics, or related field from a leading university.
