About the role

The Land Assistant will support the Land Team in delivering an expanding pipeline of Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) projects. This includes coordinating land searches, maintaining accurate records, supporting due diligence processes, and ensuring effective communication between internal teams and external stakeholders.

This position is integral to improving team efficiency, enabling senior staff to focus on strategic land acquisition, negotiations, and partnership development, while ensuring robust data management and organisational oversight across a growing land portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the identification of potential land opportunities through research and land searches
  • Support the onboarding process for new sites, ensuring documentation is complete and accurate
  • Assist with land ownership checks, title reviews, and initial due diligence activities
  • Collate and review environmental and planning constraints data for prospective sites
  • Maintain and update CRM systems and internal land databases with accurate, up-to-date information
  • Assist with stakeholder engagement, including liaising with landowners and external partners
  • Record and track landowner interactions and correspondence
  • Prepare site onboarding forms, reports, and internal briefing documents
