Logistics Specialist - Logistics Manager - Import - Export - London Tool Sales - Construction

Brooklyn Recruitment are currently working with a well established yet rapidly expanding hand tool business. They are looking for a Logistics Specialist / Logistics Manager to be office based or hybrid with 3 days being spent in the office in London.

This company turnover around £45-£50million and are expanding. Although it is one company there are 4 brands to the group so experience of working in this way would also be an advantage.

This is an excellent opportunity to come in and shape the Logistics department as this area has previously been overseen by the Purchasing department but has grown into its own position and is foreseen to continue to grow. This would suit someone who has previously held a Logistics Specialist / Logistics Manager’s role in a slightly smaller company or just someone who really wants to get stuck in and make the department their own and grow with it!

As Logistics Manager / Logistics Specialist you will be:

• Managing a Logistics Coordinator
• Negotiating with freight companies and setting up new agreements
• Dealing with import and export paperwork
• Exporting to Dubai and Saudi a couple of times a year
• Overseeing the exports to the European third party logistics and warehouse provider (3PL)
• Ensuring the ERP system is kept up to date
• Coordinating shipments
• Ensuring full customs compliance
• Developing and implementing new logistics strategies
• Identifying and managing any bottlenecks
• Providing updates on shipments and logistics performance
• Other duties as required
